Upgrade Proposal for Masjid Tok Lebai Hashim
Completed
The Masjid Tok Lebai Hashim committee intends to significantly expand the mosque’s capacity, recognizing the growing demand for space due to the increasing Muslim population in the surrounding area. Originally built in 1970, the mosque has not undergone any major renovations or repairs since its establishment, and its current capacity no longer meets the needs of the expanding community. The proposed expansion is a timely and necessary initiative, aimed at providing a more spacious and comfortable environment for worshippers while preserving the mosque’s role as a central hub for the local Muslim community.
The project involves a partial demolition of the existing structure, including the old women’s prayer section, and the construction of a new, expanded section to accommodate a larger mosque’s hall for public use. TPJ Engineering is tasked with managing this complex renovation, which requires close collaboration with a number of stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met. This includes fulfilling the diverse needs of the mosque committee, the local community, and regulatory authorities, while also adhering to the project’s designated budget.
The project has now been successfully completed and officially handed back to the mosque committee. TPJ Engineering has revitalized the Masjid Tok Lebai Hashim with a fresh, modern look that enhances its appeal and functionality. The newly expanded mosque is designed to accommodate a larger congregation, fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for worshippers. The improvements made to the mosque not only provide a comfortable space for prayer but also create a versatile venue for various community activities planned by the mosque committee.
