- Penang is experiencing rapid development, driven by a strategic focus on infrastructure and urban expansion. These developments are designed not only to enhance Penang’s position as a key economic hub in Malaysia but also to attract both local and international investors. The comprehensive Penang Development Plan outlines large-scale initiatives including major projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, and transportation infrastructure are set to reshape Penang's landscape.
- In continuation of the successful Gurney Wharf Phase 1 development, the Penang government is advancing its vision for the state's growth with the extension into Gurney Wharf Phase 2. This new phase of development is poised to further elevate Penang's status as a premier destination for both residents and investors. The Gurney Wharf Phase 2 project will feature a well-designed recreational area dedicated to leisure and community activities, offering residents and visitors a vibrant, dynamic environment for relaxation and entertainment.
- As part of the ongoing development of Penang Island, we have been entrusted with the responsibility of delivering the Uni-directional Ramp to support the new Sunshine Central, which encompasses both residential and commercial components. This project involves several key elements, including the construction of a new road structure, drainage system, and a directional ramp to efficiently connect road users to the building.
- The Masjid Tok Lebai Hashim committee intends to expand the mosque’s capacity, recognizing the growing demand for space due to the increasing local Muslim population. Originally built in 1970, the mosque has not undergone any major renovations or repairs since its establishment, and its current capacity no longer meets the needs of the expanding community. The proposed expansion is a timely and necessary initiative, aimed at providing a spacious and comfortable environment for worshippers while preserving the mosque’s role as a central hub for the local Muslim community.
- Sungai Air Puteh in Taiping has long been one of the most heavily trafficked roads, resulting in significant congestion and a strained road infrastructure. The combination of heavy traffic flow and the deteriorating condition of the existing bridge has created the potential for serious long-term issues, including safety risks and inefficient traffic movement. Recognizing the urgency of addressing these challenges, the government has taken proactive steps by initiating the replacement of the old bridge and the reprofiling of the road.
- Penang Island is renowned for its pivotal role in import and export trade, both locally and internationally. With ships docking daily from across the globe, the port is essential to the global economy. As the trading sector continues to expand, Penang Port has proactively undertaken initiatives to enhance and strengthen its infrastructure to accommodate a larger volume of ships and boost productivity.
- The Spiral Bridge project stands as one of Penang’s most iconic developments, designed to become a landmark that blends functionality with aesthetic appeal. At the top of the bridge, a 20-meter diameter viewing deck has been incorporated, providing the public with a space to relax while enjoying panoramic views of the Penang Bridge and Pulau Jerejak. This bridge has emerged as a new gem in the state, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city where people can exercise and unwind.
- Sungai Pinang is a vital asset to Penang, serving as a key connection between the interior of the island and the sea. Historically, it was essential for Malay fishermen in the 18th century and provided a resting point for traders arriving through the Penang Straits. Today, the river remains crucial to the livelihoods of inshore fishermen, who rely on it daily. The objective of this project is to ensure the sustainability of the river for both current and future generations, while mitigating the risk of flooding. In response, the government has initiated the construction of a retention pond near the river to safeguard the area from potential flood risks.
- Penang Island, a coastal state, is inherently vulnerable to the risks of tsunamis and flooding. The region has experienced significant flooding and tsunami events in the past. In an effort to mitigate these risks and prevent future occurrences, the government has initiated a comprehensive upgrade of the drainage system, with a particular focus on the drainage network along Jalan Transfer, which runs directly from the city to the sea.
- The Muslim Religious School has long been an integral part of the community, providing essential education and spiritual guidance. However, the existing infrastructure no longer meets the evolving needs of its students, requiring significant upgrades to enhance both the learning environment and the overall educational experience. A modern, well-designed space is crucial in fostering an atmosphere where students feel comfortable, focused, and motivated to excel academically. As part of the government initiative, it has been decided that the school will undergo a complete demolition and reconstruction to create a more conducive environment for learning.
- The original design of the mosque, both outdated and worn, required a significant upgrade to restore its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Its aging and fragile structure posed safety risks to visitors, underscoring the urgent need for refurbishment. Understanding the critical importance of this project, TPJ Engineering committed to revitalizing the mosque with a modern yet respectful approach, ensuring the community has a safe, comfortable, and inspiring space for worship for years to come.
- Sungai Terusan Muda is a primary river in Kedah, crucial for the state's agricultural and fishing industries. Its significance extends beyond natural resources, vital to many local communities' livelihoods. Above the river runs a public road that has become outdated and unsustainable due to heavy use over the years. As traffic volume rises, the infrastructure supporting this route faces strain, potentially leading to safety and operational issues if not addressed promptly.
