Gurney Wharf Marine Engineering Works

Completed

TPJ Engineering completed marine construction and reclamation works for the Gurney Wharf Development Project, supporting Phase 2 of Penang’s public waterfront at Gurney Drive.

Appointed by TETO Engineering in collaboration with JKR, the specialist package covered marine engineering works associated with Phases 1 and 2. The works involved 120,000 m³ of sand and soil for reclamation—marking a major coastal infrastructure milestone.

Building on the earlier Phase 1 development, Phase 2 has expanded the waterfront into a public recreational destination. The wider development includes a man-made beach, designed to strengthen the area’s coastal appeal.

Commencing on 16 May 2023, TPJ completed its marine engineering works on 24 December 2025—another major coastal infrastructure milestone for the company.
